Coming to the Lord is an eternal decision. This decision can and will change your life. This eternal decision is final. You will not lose your salvation because of sin and you will not keep it only by doing “good works”. The following are steps to take in making your eternal decision for Christ:
ADMISSION; we all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God. Understanding that you are a sinner and admitting it is the first step. Romans 3:23
REPENT; After admission, you are ready to turn away from the previous life of sin. Your sinful habits may not go away immediately after this prayer, you have to work on that, but with the Lord as your guide, sin will become less and less a part of who you are. Luke 13:5
BELIEVE; Jesus died for you! His blood was shed (as a substitute for you) After paying our debt, he rose from the grave and then went up to Heaven to prepare a place for you. Romans 10:13
ASK; Jesus is and always has been standing before you, waiting for an invitation. Ask him to come in and take over. Let him drive and steer your life. Romans 12:1-2
